최소 삭제를 위한 라미네이트 임상 (Clinical Cases in Veneers for Minimal Tooth Reduction)
Hello, I'm Park Jonguk, director of Lamista Academy and director of Dream Dental Clinic.
In May 2025, my book summarizing 20 years of clinical veneer work was published.
"최소 삭제를 위한 라미네이트 임상" (Clinical Cases in Veneers for Minimal Tooth Reduction)
Rather than covering veneers in general,
it's about veneer treatment methods that minimize tooth reduction,
a book that summarizes 20 years of clinical experience.
In dentistry, books on aesthetics are fairly rare.
Implant books are the most common, followed by orthodontics books.
Books on ceramic-based aesthetics like this are quite few,
and most of the ones that do exist are translations of foreign books.
This is genuinely the first aesthetics-focused book to come out in Korea in a long time,
and it may well be the first ever to focus solely on veneers.
The book's first chapter covers the preparation process for veneer treatment.
Since most dental clinics don't perform veneer treatment often,
starting this kind of treatment requires a different preparation process than usual.
The rest of the book is about veneer treatment,
and I devoted a great deal of it to the diagnostic process, which I consider the most important part.
Looking at veneer-related books published abroad,
most don't lay out the diagnostic process in much depth.
The most important part of veneer treatment is the diagnostic process.
A good diagnosis leads to good treatment,
and it makes it possible to minimize tooth reduction.
What dentists are probably most curious about is tooth reduction and veneer bonding.
I covered the reduction and bonding processes in great detail.
I made every effort to include the treatment process for as wide a variety of veneer cases as possible.
I included a great deal of discussion on why each case was treated this way and how the process unfolded.
The tooth reduction process for veneers, using models,
was covered in great detail.
The fabrication and placement of temporary teeth were also described in great detail.
For detailed veneer cases,
the book was designed with a black background so readers can focus more closely on the photos.
I also discussed tooth shape and aesthetics at length.
I made every effort to cover as many veneer cases as possible.
I hope this book becomes an opportunity to raise the level of aesthetic dentistry in Korea.
These days, more and more clinics are focused on making veneers quickly, in large volumes, and cheaply,
and in many cases mass production is prioritized over aesthetics.
This book is aimed at finding a way to avoid veneers that look obvious and unnatural,
while keeping tooth reduction to a minimum,
so the teeth can still look natural.
To mark the book's release, this is the June Lamista veneer lecture course.
