On October 11, 2026, Dr. Park Jonguk lectured at the 2026 Korean Women Dental Association Scientific Congress on “Principles to keep in laminate veneer treatment”: the diagnostic and form-design standards Dr. Park shares with fellow dentists as director of Lamista Academy.
What the lecture covered
- 01
Form decides esthetics. The outline is the first element that shapes how a tooth reads, and the line angle is the most important element of its character. Without line angles, any material looks flat.
- 02
Transition surfaces and lobes: the flow of light created by the inner and outer inclines, and how lobes differ by tooth (three on central incisors, a weak distal lobe on laterals, a dominant central lobe on canines).
- 03
Four veneer fabrication methods compared by minimum thickness and characteristics. Natural-tooth esthetics need extra finishing time even for monolithic veneers, as much as for build-up; the problem is not the structure but cutting the time.
- 04
Veneers seen as one of the few cosmetic procedures in dentistry, with tooth-by-tooth proportions marked on an upper anterior case photo as the basis for form design.
