Before-and-After Gallery: Lower-Teeth Veneers, Redo Treatment, and Correcting Misaligned Teeth

Veneer treatment brings in a truly wide range of cases.

No two patients ever feel like the same treatment.

Each individual case has to be researched and carefully thought through

to find the right treatment approach.

Some patients have good tooth alignment,

some have protruding or crooked teeth,

and some have chipped or discolored teeth.

Today, let's look at a variety of these cases.

Case 1

This patient came in for redo treatment of old all-ceramic crowns.

The tooth roots near the gum line were exposed and appeared dark,

there were gaps between the teeth,

and the surface of the ceramic had become rough.

The tooth color was just an overly opaque white.

It would have been nice to brighten the teeth through whitening,

but since the teeth had already been reduced far too much,

and because whitening doesn't brighten darkness near the root very much anyway,

we decided to redo only the all-ceramic crowns.

In harmony with the gums like this,

the tooth color was also treated to look far more natural.

It would be nice if the gum color could also be brightened,

but it had been too long since the root canal treatment,

and as a result, even the roots of the teeth had become discolored,

making it a case where brightening the gum color wasn't easy.

Still, the dark areas caused by exposed tooth structure were all fully covered,

and the gaps between the teeth were also closed naturally.

Case 2

This is a case of veneers on the lower front teeth.

The tooth alignment was quite poor,

and orthodontic treatment would normally have been called for,

but due to the patient's personal circumstances,

treatment had to be completed within 2 to 3 weeks.

By combining all-ceramic crowns and veneers,

we carried out tooth reshaping on the lower front teeth.

For treatment of the lower front teeth, both veneers and all-ceramic crowns

most often require a substantial amount of tooth reduction,

so it's essential to check the amount of reduction beforehand

and proceed with treatment accordingly.

Viewed from various angles, the teeth became well aligned,

and the tooth color became bright and clear.

With lower front teeth, it's important that they look well aligned even when viewed from the biting edge.

Case 3

This is veneer treatment on slightly crooked teeth.

We considered both orthodontics and veneers,

but since whitening alone couldn't brighten the teeth as much as the patient wanted,

we chose an approach that would brighten the tooth color

while also evening out the alignment

and, since the front teeth also felt too wide, solve that at the same time —

so we proceeded with veneer treatment.

The alignment became even,

and the teeth were treated to look bright, clear, and beautiful.

In tooth reshaping using veneers and all-ceramic crowns,

the single most important thing is a precise diagnostic process before treatment.

This makes it possible to clearly understand the goal and process of the treatment

and carry it out accordingly,

while also explaining the treatment process to the patient in detail

and making sure the pros and cons are understood before beginning treatment.
