Gangnam Veneers: A Collection of Before-and-After Photos from Various Treatment Cases
Hello, I'm Dr. Park Jonguk, director of Dream Dental Clinic.
Gangnam veneer treatment is treatment for beautiful teeth.
The right answer in cosmetic work is always naturalness.
Facial cosmetic procedures, whether on the eyes, nose, or elsewhere,
have always had a natural result as the right answer.
Teeth are no different.
While being bright, translucent, and beautiful,
natural beauty still has to be maintained.
There are two defining features of the Gangnam veneers I do.
One is minimizing reduction —
everything from no-prep veneers to minimal-prep veneers.
Every year, in lecturing extensively to dentists,
I share the know-how of how to create beautiful teeth
while still keeping tooth reduction to a minimum.
At the foundation of that is precision diagnosis.
Please refer to the link below for the diagnostic process.
The second is natural beauty.
With the one-day method, in most cases,
the teeth can't help but look artificial to anyone.
The method I use is the handmade method,
which can achieve a beauty
that the one-day method simply can't match.
Case 1
This case had fairly large, triangular-shaped teeth,
and although the gums and tooth alignment were good,
a black triangle had developed.
Treatment was carried out using Gangnam veneers.
The shape of the teeth changed to look natural,
and the tooth color is also natural
while the translucent feel stays alive.
You can also see that the black triangle has been filled in harmony with the gum.
The key point is achieving this much variation of expression within a thin Gangnam veneer.
Case 2
This is a retreatment case
for a very old metal-based front tooth restoration.
These days, that kind of metal-containing method
is no longer used on the front teeth.
We finished the case by keeping the color of the remaining natural teeth well maintained
while bringing back the translucency of a natural tooth.
The retreatment was finished with all-ceramic crowns.
Case 3
This is a veneer retreatment case.
The patient had originally been treated with the one-day method,
but it looked so unnatural and awkward that retreatment was needed.
A Gangnam veneer finished in a single day
is highly likely to have problems in areas like fit with the tooth and harmony with the gum,
and the shape, color, and translucency show a clear difference.
We firmly restored the feel of a natural tooth,
and carried out the retreatment with translucency at the tip of the tooth,
three-dimensional quality of the tooth,
and a natural color.
Case 4
This is a veneer case on the lower front teeth.
In my case, I don't often recommend veneers on the lower teeth
for younger patients.
As the muscle tone of the upper lip weakens with age,
only the lower teeth end up showing a lot when talking or smiling,
and that's usually the point when this is done more often.
Veneers on the lower teeth
require some baseline reduction in almost all normal bites,
no matter what,
so they need to be treated with care.
The photo above shows the state after tooth reduction for the veneers.
It was finished with a natural color.
Case 5
The patient wanted veneers that were brighter, whiter, and more even.
The teeth were even,
but there was a sense that the axis of the teeth was splayed outward,
so it was a case that didn't look beautiful.
This was a case where we successfully realized
a tooth axis that makes the smile look beautiful.
