Front Teeth Veneers for Balanced Proportions — Cheongdam-dong Dental Clinic
Hello, I'm Park Jonguk, director of Dream Dental Clinic, Cheongdam-dong.
Beautiful teeth depend on many different factors.
Among them, proportion is especially important.
When you look at teeth from a distance, the fine details aren't visible,
but tooth proportion can still be seen even from far away.
Cases where the front teeth are noticeably larger or smaller than the teeth beside them,
or where the teeth are too long,
stand out just as noticeably.
When I perform front teeth veneer treatment,
I carry out a precision wax-up diagnosis.
In that process, the single most important thing I look at is proportion.
There's a proportion that generally looks most attractive on average,
so before treatment, I check whether the teeth match that proportion,
and if the proportion isn't ideal, I work out how to improve it,
and build that into the treatment plan.
For more on this diagnostic process used in front teeth veneer treatment,

Because her front teeth looked too long and too large,
the patient visited our Cheongdam-dong clinic for veneer treatment.
With the teeth overall tilted to one side
and the front teeth too long,
the overall appearance wasn't ideal.
To correct this tilt and also improve the tooth proportions,
we decided to proceed with veneer treatment at our Cheongdam-dong clinic.
We measured the current tooth proportions.
The width-to-height ratio of the front teeth is expressed as a percentage.
The average is typically around 80%, but hers measured 71%, which shows the teeth were quite long,
and the ratio between the front teeth and the lateral incisors beside them averages around 70-80%,
but hers measured 69%, slightly below average.
We built our treatment plan around improving these proportions.
To adjust the tilt and proportion of the teeth in this way,
we predict the amount of tooth reduction and the expected result before starting treatment.
The treatment has been completed.
The teeth that had been tilted to one side
are now straight.
You can also see that the tooth proportions have improved significantly.
The proportion between the front teeth and the teeth beside them
is now noticeably closer to the average.
Even with a small change,
the overall impression of the teeth can shift dramatically.
Even when checked from various angles,
the teeth look natural,
and you can see that the front teeth veneers were finished beautifully.
