One thing I've come to feel after treating front teeth for many years is

just how much teeth actually move.

A tooth may look like it's sitting still in one place,

will see their alignment shift again if they don't wear a retainer,

When the treatment was first done, all the teeth were evenly aligned,

but over time, only one tooth appears to have risen up, the patient said.

It can appear that way relatively speaking,

but generally speaking, a tooth ankylosed to the bone due to trauma

doesn't change position.

It's more accurate to say that as the other teeth moved, the ankylosed tooth simply appears to have risen up in comparison.

To treat this kind of aesthetic issue,

An ankylosed tooth generally needs crown treatment,

but if the discoloration can be effectively covered,

there's no problem treating it with a veneer instead.

However, because the color needs to be covered,

a certain amount of tooth reduction is needed.
