Old veneers can need retreatment for various reasons.

First, there's chipping and coming loose.

With long-term use,

because of the nature of ceramic,

over a long period of time, can develop cracks within the adhesive

is more often driven by aesthetic reasons than by those issues.

and veneer treatment for the discolored tooth.

Veneers and all-ceramic crowns are made using completely different methods.

Especially in a case with this much discoloration,

to cover the discoloration with a minimal thickness

while still preserving the feel of a natural tooth,

it has to be made using feldspathic material on a refractory model.

This is quite a difficult and demanding way to make a veneer,

so most clinics and dental labs avoid this method,

but it's the method that can produce the most beautiful Apgujeong veneer.

In today's environment, where veneers are conveniently made by computer in a day or two,

this is a process you couldn't even imagine.

The thickness is as little as around 0.1mm in some areas,

producing an extremely thin veneer.
