Cheongdam-dong Veneers and All-Ceramic Crowns: Redoing Front Teeth Veneers

When redoing old front-teeth cosmetic cases,

you encounter a wide variety of situations.

When the redo is simply because a Cheongdam-dong veneer or crown

Since treatment had already been done,

With the lateral incisor next to the front tooth missing,

orthodontic treatment should originally have been done,

but the patient had received all-ceramic crown treatment instead to quickly get things even.

Because there were a variety of problems,

a lot of change was needed.

Symmetry of the front teeth is like the starting point of beautiful teeth,

so effort was needed to achieve symmetry,

and we had to think carefully about how to make

the area missing a tooth look natural.

Because the canine was poorly positioned,

moving it with orthodontics would have been ideal,

but due to time and cost constraints,

we decided to proceed with the current condition as it was.

Viewed from the side, the problem is even clearer.

For this kind of asymmetry, rather than aiming for perfection,

we proceed with the redo aiming for the best possible improvement.

We planned for the area that had been two teeth to instead fit three teeth,

and decided to change the size of the teeth to achieve symmetry.

As we go from four teeth to five,

the position of the teeth gets adjusted.

We design with the aesthetics of the front teeth as the top priority.

Matching the symmetry of the two front teeth is extremely important.

We bring out as much natural beauty as possible,

and because the Cheongdam-dong veneer and the all-ceramic crown

use different ceramics,

we have to do our best to match their color.

Harmony with the natural teeth is also a very important factor.

We fabricate so that the front veneers blend well with the color of the natural teeth.

Because of the canine position issue,

the gum area was inevitably going to look somewhat unnatural.

We designed the root shape to be close to that of a natural tooth,

and expressed a variety of tones within the tooth color

to finish it as naturally as possible.
